Default I tried my best, but the outcome was not pretty

I bought my civic and didnt pay attention to the rim locks. when it was time to change the axle, i was stuck with the rims because i couldnt get them off. I tried E-bay, I tried tire shops but nothing worked. I simply took a deep breath and put the covers out of their misery. now I can move on with my axle exchange. I even bought an impact gun, because everyone i asked told me that the most difficult part was getting the center nut out. well, let see how difficult it is with the gun. here are before and after pics. enjoy.

They dont look half bad with the covers off.

You know, you could have simply drilled them out.
But I guess that works too! ha

thats one way to do it, drilling might have been another way to save the caps though

Sometimes it just feels better to beat the crap out of something that has frustrated you for hours

You got to break something and ended up with some better looking wheels.

Got pics of the car with and without the rim locks?

the wheels look much better without the caps IMO

caps kinda make the wheels look cheap.

i removed the center caps on my wheels because they were imitation chrome (i have Konig Heliums. it actually doesn't look too bad because my wheels are dark and my car is black so it looks ok.

LOL awesome post. I had 5 star FiTTi's back in the day and when it came time to take them off for whatever reason--brakes I think-- those goddamn locking covers met the same fate with a crobar. for rage!
