Default Heater Problem

for some reason my heater isent blowing hot, it blows mildly worm, but still pretty cold. I was thinking the heater core might be going bad but i thought if that was going out that it would leak from under the dash, and there is no leaking if anyone else has any other ideas please let me know

There's a cable from the slider down to some levers & cranks in the console. You can see 'em from the passenger footwell, forward of the ashtray. Make sure it's hooked up & working.

Then one of those cranks has another cable going out to the heater valve just outside of the firewall. See if that's unhooked or broken.
