A friend was telling me about it, but I'm not so sure, then again I haven't seen it yet.

Criminal! I think it's both for GO & SHOW. It will be lighter than stock hood (GO), and you can see the motor (SHOW) Everytime someone looks under my hood I hear nothing, but WOWs, and I for one don't mind looking at it. It's not like you're looking through a window with a butt naked 80 yr old woman on the other side or the like, so whats the problem. Does anyone have pics of this hood or have seen one close up, and has any ideal on the fit with what you've seen.

ill probly sell it anywhere from $330~$380 depending on the aerogear msrp~
im selling the predator hood for $349 so you get the idea~
i saw those at aerogear's warehouse, and in my opinion this looks really cool~
you may think its rice cus it looks nice~

 

Hey after you get the hood, don't forget to pick yourself up a sharp set of Alteeza lights

 

And some nice American Racing rims too!! Id have to say dont do it. Buu buu. Get a regular cf hood.

 

I think you guys have been getting out of hand lately.

Someone just asks an opinion about something, and yall just go off just bashing him. Yeah it might be rice to you, but the item they're asking about must have a purpose right?

I'm not taking his side or anything, but i just think its ridiculous how you guys bash everyone about every single little thing.

Their is on eon eBay right now... or at least their was a couple of days ago. Search closed auctions if you can't find it open. Their is a picture. IMO, I don't like it. I think a oem style cf is the way to go in MOST cases. Just my opinion. I'd like to see more pictures of it though, since the seller only listed one.

Ummmmm, yeah so I think all we were doing was answering the questions he asked. Does anybody else agree, I mean he DID ask if we thought it was ricey.

 

and those shu-um hoods are not ricey at all. i have a friend who shows his car and got one so people can see the engine..but they cant touch the engine. everything serves a purpose.

 

The one on ebay is ugly as ****. The one I just saw today looks much nicer. It has a clear window not tinted, and the shape of the window is much better looking. the speed shop told me to stop by on the 26th to see how I liked the fit, and if the fit is great I'm sold on it. I like the look, but plan to get it clear coated. It weighs nothing and looks of great quality. It's a new 2002 style and is a oem carbon fiber hood with a clear window. Soon you'll see them everywhere, but I haven't seen any in my area yet. After looking at it in person I'll give it a nice not rice IMO.

hey sounds pretty unique. And look at the bright side, thieves won't have to pop your hood to see what kind of engine your running, they can just look at the car!! Do me a favor and send me a link when you create the topic "Another R stolen!!"

 

Hello! My R is yellow need I say more. Just in case it's needed I'm sure they'll know whats under the hood without the window, and if they don't one of your close friends will tell them. So IMO your point doesn't hold water!

 

Some of you guys can really be dicks sometimes. Lay off the kid - he just asked about the hood - not everyone's opinion. How many times do we have to go over the fact that there are two facets to upgrading cars (show & race) and what they entail?

 

true yellow does stick out like a sore thumb, but i didn't care to notice you had a yellow car. But for all the people out there who have average colored cars w/ an expensive engine, or a turbo/SC kit and want this hood...I'd consider the fact everyone will see what you have. BTW if your close friends are telling thieves what kind of car you have..i'd get some new friends.

 

I'd sooner put a sign on my car that says: "here are my mods...wanna try and steal my car now?" than to put a clear hood on my car.

If carbon/clear hoods are your thing, and you can get a good price on em...then all the better for ya. But dont try and convince anyone that it's a "go" item...
