Default S2000 Antenna Swap Question

My antenna in my 1993 Acura Integra LS 3Door is broken and i want to replace it. I was wondering if the s2000 antenna will fit and if it is possible to do without serious modifications.

Here is what it looks like on a 3rd gen

thanks for the help

dont see why not. if there are any changes, you can easily fix it. its the same concept.

I performed this retrofit a few years ago (albeit without the OEM s2000 "amplifier", just the antenna itself - $25 total for everything including some pre-cut PVC piping to make it fit at an angle)

And... It looked absolutely perfect, especially on a wingless integra.

But... The reception was absolute crap.

I picked function over form and threw back in the stock bling bling tower antenna

Maybe that $120 OEM "Amplifier" that goes with the antenna itself (not sure what its called) works, but I'd hate to spend that much and find out it doesn't improve anything. Money better spent elsewhere.

EDIT: Looking back at your real question, yes this will also fit 2nd Generation Integras, i've seen it done and it looks great

OK the reason were looking into this is because right now our antenna is broke and prolly needs to be completely replaced. Also it isnt getting great reception.

Where did you pick up a stock one?

WHat do you mean it's completely broken? THe mast or the motor? Did you check for power to the motor? You can buy the s2000 shark at a dealer. IF you want to just replace the mast you can buy one on ebay for like 20 bucks. I wouldnt suggest it b/c mine broke again after a month. Or if you want a cheaper alternative.....http://www.locustom.com/frameset/home.htm

Mast is broke and completely gone. I can hear the motor go up and down everytime the radio goes on.

Then just replace the mast. It's really simple. Remember that the teeth face the trunk

I didn't have very good reception with my S2000 antenna either.
