Shift Linkage pin
not trying to be hard headed or cheap. When you pop out the shift linkage pin they tell you not to use it again. What really happens if you reuse it. I couldnt find a thread on it. Thanks

i think that they say that in case it breaks after re-use. maybe their way of not being responsible for old and worn out parts that may malfunction after being tinkered with too much. who knows?!

i never bought a new one and i never seen or heard of one ever falling out, they dont slide back in you have to tap them in with a hammer, trust me its not going anywhere.
ya, you can reuse... just I know there are alot of people out there that mash them up pretty bad removing them, if that happens its kinda hard to re-use them.
but as everyone said, just pop it back in there...

If you're gentle taking it out, you can easily reuse it. Be sure to install the safety spring that surrounds the pin though, as that's the most important part.

AIR HAMMER!
woot.
It's the best way to do it. Just be sure you use the proper sized punch as not to mushroom the pin. To install, I gently tighten it in a vice grip, and press it in as far as I can, then use the air hammer again to tap it in all the way.
