Whats the vtec point on a 97 civic ex coupe 5 spd? Thanks

its not in the 6000s its usually right around 5500rpms

As far as I know there are no VTEC points in the 6000s

on a stock y8 the redline is 6800, why would they put it 600-300 below redline

lol max rpm's are 6800 I think on a y8, why would it not kick vtec in till 6k? It depends...some engage around 5200, some 5500...that's your best bet.

redline is 7000 on a y8. I had a coworker who bought a 99 EX right before i quit that job. redline is 7000.

I repeat again, redline is at 7000 rpm on a y8. Really couldn't hear the vtec engagement over the loud *** exhaust that came on that car though, so I don't know where it switches over.

the only vtec that kicks in at 6000 or higher are dual cam vtec. for a y8 should be around 5000
