Default My 87 CRX..

hey guys I have a 87 CRX Si...could you give me some good engines I could drop in...I was thinking 1st gen b16 but I am on a tight budget rite now...I was also thinking I would go with 90 to 91 si motor with vtec head...Wut do you guys think..Thanx for the help..

redpepperracing for a lot of info on 1st gens.
you can install a B series with a kit from hasport. some have installed SOHC D series, but the most popular swap is the D16A1 from the first gen integra. it is a bolt-in affair.
do a search a little bit and have fun. i would keep the D15A3 though, and apply some boost. i really like those engines for some reason.

Yeah ur rite...The d15a3 does have some power..I was surprised how good it took off when I test drove...I did go searching and I found some good Ideas....Now I just have to find junkyard that has a 88-89 teg...Well thanx for the info guys...

Stock engine is pretty good when worked over just a bit, given the weight of the car. 1st gens kick my *** in CSP all the time!
