coilovers or springs?
im selling my gc coilovers because i could use the money and i havent found time to put them on plus i dont need coilovers cuz i dont plan on lowering it anymore once its done. my question is what would be the best thing to lower with when i sell them? i just want it lowered 2" MAX. i dont want it slammed or tucked or anything like that i just wanna get rid of fender gap.
just kidding, just keep the GC and put them in, you already have them, if you have to...get some cheapy lowering springs like intrax or something
faq intrax
intrax springs suck
the fuc who had the coupe before me had those on. it made the car look real nice and tucked but also it killed the stock struts and created bump steer. also it rubbed the fender walls. id get eibach prokit if you want a suttle not to extreme drop. stay away from intrax

stock shocks on 2 inch lowering or higher spring rates will prematurely wear out struts, so its not because its "intrax" brand, but it might not be the spring rate you want or the "anti sag" that people car for. Lowering 2 inches will also rub the fender walls. the eibach pro-kit is not a 2 inch lowering spring and will wear out stock struts too.
as far as sportlines go...they are 2 inch lowering springs and are very agressive spring rates. the struts wont even be able to dampen these correctly and will blow out faster than intrax will.

i have H&R sport drop its 1.75 front and 1.50 is what they claim but it will get lower aprox 2.0 with time ride is only 20% stiffer than stock handles great i have tockicos blues and for intrax its not the springs, if you lower you car 2' or more no matter what springs you use stock struts will blow (they are not desing to go that low) or handle stiffer spring rates for that matter. i would strongly recomend you to get a set of aftermarket struts with your springs if you want a decent ride quality and handling, coilovers will give you more flexibility on height adjustment and better handling but you will have to sacrifice ride quality its going to be stiff so its up to you whatever you like
