Default Shift Boot Problems!!!

I have a 04 si and i want to get rid of my camry style shift boot. I got a suede red stitched boot for it but i am having problems getting the dash off. I don't know what piece to pry off. I was looking for some pics or help on how to replace the boot. Any ideas will help^^

hey
the dash comes off in 2 peices the bottom whith the shift boot and the top with the radio . your just taking the bottom part of the dash , with the shift boot in it . the top with the radio dose not have to be touched

if i remember correctly lol , you should take the shift **** off (you unscrew it off ) then pull the boot out . pull it out easy grab it by the base of the boot and pull it out . . there is 3 tabs on the boot . when it comes off put your hands inside where the boot is and pull out the bottom out first then pull out the top off the dash . the top is going to be hard so be carefull . i almost broke mine . remember all this is for bottom of the 2 peices that make up the whole dash . when i say pull out the top i mean the top of the bottom half . i can be confusing lol

when the dash is off you will see behind it what holds on the boot . its held on by being pressed bettween pieces of plastic . 3 screws hold the outer one . . put you new boot on then that plastic pieces follew by 3 screws then put the dash back on .

hope this helps . im gonig to take mine off again , becuse i have wires i have to hook for my sirius radio . any problems let me know .

ive taken front and rear bumpers off to change lights and a few other thing lol

K20 EM2 (6:21 PM 10/28/2004): u yank out the shift boot by holding on the 5 and 7 oclock position. TUck ur fingers on the actual Booth and pull out. Give it sum muscle but Be patient and when u get that loose, pry by the Hazard button and to the black circle piece and should come off. also go to EPhatch.com under isntalls it should have it there.

K20 EM2 sent me this IM. He is right that is the best way to take off the boot. Make sure the bottom part is what comes out first.^^

Thanks K20 EM2 your a PIMP!!!!
