Default piece of plastic got stuck in throttle plate while driving...scary.......help identify

ok so im drivin just chillin, goin about 35-40mph and i let go of the gas pedal and my RPM's don't drop.. (u know how in automatics sometimes it takes a second for the gear to change) so i wasnt too concern, until the RPM's started going higher and higher... im like WTF is my cruise control on and im hitting somthing??? somewhat in a panic and confused i stick the car in neutral... bad mistake... the car goes all the way up to redline... im like FKKK so i shut the car down and manage to pull over - turn the car back on.. same thing goes straight to redline... so i pop my hood and everything looks cool.... the throttle cable looks like its closed... so i turn on the car and everything runs fine... i cautiously drive a little more and it does the same thing... so this time when i pull over i pop open my intake tube and find this stuck inside my throttle plate.

so my question is... wtf is this piece of plastic, is this somthing that came from my engine bay, or sucked up off the road?? i dont know how the hell it got in there, my intake is stock, everything is stock.... the ONLY thing i can think of, is that a couple of days ago i changed my headlight bulbs and had to remove my intake box in order to reach the wires... where the hell did this thing come from?

LOL - read it! "remove for side terminal connection". It came from a battery.

The real question is how did it get thru your air filter??
