Default Is anyone's ITR tranny stamped with "V4D"??

Sorry for adding another transmission thread to this forum, but I need to know the answer, and the archives are coming up with inconclusive answers. I found a tranny for sale in the classifieds that I want to purchase to replace mine. The seller says it's from a 2000 ITR. He sends pictures of it, and it has "V4D" stamped on it. My 01 ITR tranny says, "J4D LSD". I thought that 00 and 01 ITR transmissions were identical.

Does anyone what car a V4D tranny comes from?

2000 ITR owners...what does your tranny have stamped on it?

Thanks in advance guys.

Hmm...my 95 GSR trans says V4D and it's an S80.
My 97 ITR trans says J4D LSD, also S80.

It's possible that everything was swapped over to the other case I suppose?

Huh?

You mean the JDM version of the GS-R (forgot what it's called)?

swing and a miss

(jdm) b16/b18 non type r transmissions come with viscous type lsd as an option
where as itr/ctr transmissions come with helical/gear/torsen type lsd

older round lights are si-vtec, newer "jdm front" 96+ are called sir-g.
and no the lsd are different than a itr.
