Default Rear Wiper on EG DX or SI - Wires run on the rear window???

Since winter is coming up, I'm thinking of adding the rear wiper on my VX and would like to know if the stock wiring on the SI and DX models are run up on the sides of the rear window or how exactly they are run?

Thanks.

im pretty sure they are not because you are also going to need to replace your stock windshield wiper lever on the steering wheel with one that has controls for the rear wiper..

Dont bother
too much money and hassle, just use the defroster, snow doesnt land on it when ur driving anyway.
just start up ur car for about 10mins and leave the rear defrost on then wipe the snow off and ur good for the rest of the ride

I don't use mine on my EK either. Seems like a lot of work for next to nothing to me.

It be nice if someone can actually answer the question.

Question was not about a switch or preference or alternate methods.

It just takes someone that has an SI or DX model a few seconds to open their rear hatch and see how their rear wiper motor wiring is run.

Quit your ******* whining. You've been on this site long enough to know you probably won't get a straight answer right a way. Everyone has to throw in their opinions. You act like a blizzard is gonna hit you tomorrow.

As for your question...of course it's run up the side. Why would they run it any other way? From the motor it runs along the edge of the glass towards the drivers side up to the top. From there it turns towards the center about 1-2 inches before being run into the chassis.

Thanks, I appreciate your answer to the question minus your comments.

Boy, threads would be much shorter without all the filler material.

well i will try to give you the best awnser i can. the wires run right up the inner drivers side of the window, on the si and dx there held in place with two peices of plastic which honda calls garnish its basicly plastic hose with double sided tape on it.once you mount it and run your wires this is were it gets kinda tricky. when you lift your rear window up youll see where your brake light wires run into the cab that where you run the wiper wires through. then run them however you want to the steering colum. i took the steering colum out of a dx all you really need is the combination switch then its just plug and play!

you need the wiper motor, wiper assembly, wiper harness, front and rear wiper/washer combination switch, and integrated control unnit.
