yeah, so while my car was at the shop it was broken into. i am heading up there now to see all the damage. supposedly this is what was told to me to be missing:
-VIS grade AA Oem hood
-Hondata LS ecu with s200
-pioneer avic n1

i'm going to go up there now and deal with the cops and then call my insurance.

alright. after a long day and i am tired as all hell. but i will try to explain what all happened today. i was supposed to have school today not work so i get to sleep in till 11. well i get a phone call from work thinking they might want me to come in in the morning, well i usually just ignore those morning phone calls, but today i answered. it was my buddy/coworker Shad Sawyer. well he ask if i cam and got some parts from my teg last night like my hood and computer. i said no. he told me that my car was broken into then. well i woke up then and got ready for a long day. i get up to the shop and inspect the car. I call the police to file a report and get the officer to call me back in an hour. I take pics of the place where the missing stuff was and list all the stuff stolen while i waited for him to call. i also called insurance and started a claim.

well it turns out that they stole 10 things:
-VIS Grade AA OEM hood
-Blue AEM adj. FPR
-Sandblasted AEM CAI with Bypass
-ECU chipped with hondata s200 (and yanked out the datalogging cable from the blue box)
-4 infinity kappa Speakers
-Power inverter
-Pioneer Avic N1
-Autometer Air Fuel Guage
-Autometer Vacuum Guage
-2 Guage Pillar pod

it turns out they had to have only wanted something for a reason. i mean they left all this stuff:
-BRAND NEW axle sitting on passenger floorboard!!!
-Tenzo seats
-2 black 92-93 bumpers
-Brand new JDP CF LIP
-AEM Fuel Rail
-Odyssey pc 680 battery
-BBK 70mm Trottlebody
-JDM headlights.

i mean wtf. all that was easy as hell to see as you can tell in the pics. I was talking to the forensic team and they said the exact same thing happened at a dealership this morning. a hooked up civic had its CF hood, guages, p28 hondata ecu, intake. so this makes me think that this was some people who scoped out cars and got what they needed.

next step is talk to the adjuster tomorrow and get the claims ball rolling. so yeah. not a fun day.

Exactly, ******** can't get a job so they have to steal. I hope this wasn't at an Acura dealership? I hate seeing these threads. Hopefully insurance covers it.

i've read so many stories of cars getting hit at the garage...i always suspect the mechanics being in it, although i guess jackers know cars waiting near the garage are prime targets

Sorry to hear about the nonsense you gotta go through! Something very similar happened to me too. If you go onto your state governments website look up the name of the body shop it might be listed there as a shady company. You can also research them on the Better Business Bu.. well here is the site for your area I think http://www.richmond.bbb.org/ if anything comes up on their report as in other people making the same claims, insurance fraud, etc.. it makes your case much stronger.

In my instance I walked into the shop showed them the BBB report and had a lawyers name written on the page. As soon as they saw it, they coughed up all the money and asked me if there was anything extra they could do for me. I hope it goes smoothly for you too. I cant stand people thinking they can just jack your **** and you'd be like.. "ohh well... to bad for me, I guess I'll go out and buy new stuff"

**** that suxz bro .. but the shop should pay for it all being that your car was being take care of/in there hands wait lit was up there so they should pay for everything IMO

 

Damn dirty theives, There are a lot of dirty shops around. That's why I have a personal mechanic. I hope you get them bastards. I have no doubt in my mind is them *****s in the shop. Good luck getting your stuff back.

Probably an inside job, tell the shop to pay for it. Your car was in their posession when it was stolen, they're supposed to keep it safe.

the BBB doesn't mean dick. its a scam. companies have to pay the bbb to get a good review.

Sorry to tell you but its not a scam; its a goverment and state regulated program to protect consumers. Your comment is unresearched and ignorant, I am sorry to let you know. im just saying, just because a company is part of the bbb doesnt make it trustworthy, and just because one isn't, doesn't make it shady. the bbb is pretty much worthless. if they wanted to evaluate ALL companies to give them fair reviews, that'd be one thing. but they don't. just the ones that feel like paying the fees.

yeah, they suck. it was at my shop. car was there for a week because i was a dumbass and didnt make time. i hope insurance will cover it
