Any differance between the JDM SiR 89-91 and SiRII 92-93 heads?
I can either pick up a Sir B16A head for $300 or a SiRII head for $375...should I go for the SiRII head since its a few years newer? Is there any differances between the two?
different cam caps, better cams in the newer ones and thats really it. and the map sensor is electrical and the fast idel valve is a different style.

Yes I got it..but I found soem local stuff. Thanks though.
As for those differances, Im going to use a ITR manifold anyway along with my LS fuel rail (that should work right?)...hmm...Ill probably go for the newer head just cause its newer..I guess thats worth the extra $75. Are the cams the same?

One more question real quick...
If I want to change valve seals (which I will)...can I get some 99-00 SI ones from the dealer?

the main difference between the 2 are the coolant passages throughout the head between an 89-91 and 92+ B16A head.
of course the obvious..
- the oil spray jet rails/bars are a billet style on the 92+ heads and have a better TDC marker for the camshafts unlike the 89-91 rails.
- Vtec solenoid is smaller on the 92+ heads
- 92+ intake manifold has less bs on it and no 'PGM-Fi' badge
- 92+ valve cover has vtec in a larger font
yadduh yadduh yadduh...

Ive always wondered kind of Intake Manifolds I could use on a 1st gen PR3 head.
Since a 1st gen head has different coolant passages than a New Si head, then the TypeR Manifold wont fit onto the 1g. What aftermarket one would work? Remember this is the 89-91' head.

Does anyone have a b16 head they'll want to sell in about 2 months?

all the B16A heads are the same when it comes to the intake manifold flanges. I wasn't talking about the coolant spout locations - i was talking about the passages within the head, you can see them when you look at the underside of a the head.
An ITR manifold will fit ANY year b16a head.
... so the 1g head underside coolant passages wont line up, right? what B-serie blocks seem to cause the trouble?

had the map sensors on the firewall rather than the throttlebody.
And pretty much all fast idle valves are the same as well.
