Default b17a wanted.

i want a b17 for my del sol. not for any other reason really than the fact that i'm tired of looking under people's hoods and seeing the standard b16,18. or stock Dwhatever. i want the 17 and i since they only come in the 92 integra gsr, i'm pretty sure that to get that engine swapped in i would have to buy a 92 integra gsr. Anyone who is selling one or knows where to find one please leave your two cents.

...and you wouldn't need a 90 integra for this swap (why would you want to if it's already a gsr?(but they didn't come out till 92)). just a hydro tranny and it would fit right up to your del sol.

and he corrected you saying 92 and 93.

a b17 is really not the much special than a b18c...sure it's more rare. but the b18c will give you more power with the same bolt-ons and is much easier to find. plus, when you pop the hood, it won't look much different than a b16 or b18c...except the engine stamping and a few other minor details.

people aren't going to say "oh sheeeit man..he got dat ultra-rare bee17 vtek yO!! that's like jdm yO!!" [/sarcasm]

B17's are USDM only man.....trust me, i have one

B17A1 = Not JDM, if you can find a JDM B17A i hope you can find a gun to shoot yourself in the face.

yea your right but only half right...
to some engine builders they would want this rare b17 just for the valueable crank it has or build up the b17... it has a the second best rod/stroke ratio compared to the b18s (b16 of course being first) it just depends on what you do w/ it...

Check on http://www.g2ic.com

Really the only reasons to have a b17a is for how rare it is, and it does have a well sought after crank.

For the money it would take to find a good b17a, just buy a b16a.

The only difference you would see is the engine code. If you really want it just find a b17a block and put the b16 head on it.

I have a 1992 GSR and the reason I bought that is for the fact of how rare it is.

well, i apologize...i didn't know about the crank. i did know the motor is usdm only. i was being quite sarcastic though.

boosted_92 knew what i was getting at. the original poster only wants the motor because it has a different displacement.

no you didn't, thats why i posted the right years. the first post clearly shows you modified it the day after i posted. and thanks a lot for calling me a dick, i said nothing malicious or anything of the sort just giving you the right info. if my memory serves me right you said it came out of a 94 teg.

ebay or g2ic is your best bet to find a b17.
