Default leaking axle.......

Ive got 99 gsr axles w/10k miles on them. The boot came off while putting the car up on the dyno lift, they put it back on and today my axle was squeaking so i pulled over and popped the hood. There was grease everywhere, the axle is leaking. The boot is on but its still sloppen out.
Its the driver side axle, everything is in good condition the damm boot just wont stay on and its leaking out the sides.........

any suggestions?

There are 2 different types of bands. Neither one should be reused. You need a special tool for both to tighten down on the boot enough to prevent it from leaking. hth

Just use a side cutter to cut the old bands off - try not to damage the boot.

the tool he speaks of is called a "CV joint boot clamp tightening wrench"
It looks like this:

On this site it cost $11.32 but im sure auto part stores in your area will sell this or something similar to it. If it is spitting out grease at very fast rate, i wouldnt wait anylonger to clamp it since those axles only have 10k on them - u wouldnt want them to get ruined from lack of grease or dirt particles all up in there!

let us know how it goes

i replaced the wring, cut off the old one, i didnt use that tool to tighten them down but i did spend 30 minutes getting it as tight as i could possibly get it. I drove it for 20 mins and didnt notice any grease, i then took it on a redline rampage for a litttle while and still nothing. Its good to go, thanks for the help

now i have a problem w/my brakes, hopefully its just low on fluid. I just had new pads installed like 2 weeks ago, non sqeak, lifetime warantee breaks, after driving the car yesterday the break pedal got harder and harder to push down, its at the point where there is really not much stopping the car, even if i slam my foot down on it the pedal bearly moves in.
