Ive got 99 gsr axles w/10k miles on them. The boot came off while putting the car up on the dyno lift, they put it back on and today my axle was squeaking so i pulled over and popped the hood. There was grease everywhere, the axle is leaking. The boot is on but its still sloppen out.

Its the driver side axle, everything is in good condition the damm boot just wont stay on and its leaking out the sides.........

any suggestions?

 

the boot has a clamp around it. once u take it off u gatta buy a new 1, u cant reuse them. was the clamp on? chances r that they just slipped the messed up clamp on and now u have a leak. fix it or your axle will **** up

i bought a new clamp today, was gonna get some axle grease tomarrow and throw it on

yea, they used the same clamp

 

make sure u get the grease on ASAP cuz it can mee up ure axle

 

how do i remove the old rings? cant seem to get them off

 

you should replace the axel seal in the tranny also I changed my axels like 3000 ago and I just replaced the seal due to it leaking

 

just replaced them all, going for a test drive in a few mins
