is their a DIY method for smokin out headlights...i'm painting my car black and decided smoked headlights would look pretty sick long w/ my smoked clear corners....i was wondering if there's any way to get smoked out headlights without those ricey halo-projectors....

You can "smoke" out your headlights.

Have you tried searching on how to do it? Im pretty sure there are a bunch of DIY threads.
