Car has trouble starting...did something get wet???
This afternoon I went to start my car after not driving it for a full day and a full night of hard rain. It barely started up and then while I was driving my stereo turned off and my gauges started going all wacko. So when I got to work I turned off my car and it wouldn't start up, and it sounded like it just didnt have enough juice. I waited a couple of hours and on my break I got it started and drove it over to the place where I got my motor swapped and asked them and everything seemed to be fine but when I got back to the parking lot at work I turned it off and tryed to start it again but it wouldn't start.
To me, it sounds like it might be the alternator but I don't know all that much about cars.
I have a 1998 Honda Civic with a b18c1 gsr swap.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like alternator...or thats what was happenin and the shop replaced it...then i was told i had a short in my eletrical system but it sounds more like the alternator
take the car into a local autozone or similar parts store and have them check out the alternator and other things. free and only takes a few minutes.
I took it to autozone and they tested the battery and they said it needed to be recharged so they did that. Then after that is done, they checked the battery and it was good. I put it back in my car and then I start my car and the battery light comes on which is weird to me because it never came on before I took it in to autozone. Car starts up alright right now but who knows once I have to drive at night because then everything starts to dim and fade out but then it will get really bright again.
I still think it's the alternator but I'm not sure. Please let me know what you think.

IT IS YOUR ALTERNATOR.
the alternator is what recharges the battery. sure it will start if u rejuice the battery but it will eventually drain the battery all the way again and there is nothin there to charge it back up
the battery light comes on when your alternator isnt working. It is possible that the belt is just really loose too, but thats a long shot...
i thought autozone can test alternators too? or maybe that is sears?
