i have a sohc zc in my 93 civic dx automatic and i was told the sohc zc handles boost really well and that my auto tranny will hold up if i dont boost over 12 pounds..but i dont know what turbo to go with since i dont get rpms quickly like i would with a 5 speed any help would be highly appreciated. want to run 8 pounds if that helps at all.
I did a d16z6 (same motor basicly) turbo in a 94 coupe and used a nissan t25 @ 7psi. It works pretty well because sometimes the tranny sticks you in too tall of a gear and you can actually makes some good boost down low. Chirps 2nd pretty hard most of the time.

bailhatch do you have an automatic though? i will also be using an aem adj cam gear. will that help at all?
when i first got my car it was an automatic and i wanted to just blow the motor(d15b7) or the tranny so i put together a turbo it. i ran a T25. it lasted a whole summer. about 10K miles. i ran a tranny cooler and B&M trickshift in the tranny. i started out running 4-5psi, the ran around 8-9, and finally let it have it at like 12. i was running carb springs the the WG to run the lower boost. for some reason my WG actuator didnt want to open til 12 psi. it finally blew a HG at 12psi but the tranny took it. would spin all thru first and into second. i tried not to be boosting when i knew it was going to shift unless i was at WOT because then it would shift hard. i finally swapped it out and have a manual trans now. the heat is what kills the auto trannies so i would definetely run a cooler and B&M trickshift is good ****, worth the $5 a quart for sure.
1) why are you all in bold ^^
2) not a good idea to boost an auto, many many people have boosted ls integra autos, and there is no way you can tell me your tranny is stronger than thiers
all blown in less than 1mo on 7-8psi, the torque converter cant hold it. otherwise tranny is fine

same turbo i used on my D16y8. spooled fast, and pulled hard to redline. at the stock boost. and at 10lbs.
i wouldn;t run more than 7lbs on an auto, because i bet at 200whp it would start to burn up thr torq converter.
