Recently my turbo B16 has been misfiring after hitting the rev limiter under extreme stress (ex: Burnout/highway pulls) the car starts to idle at 1300 rpm when it usual idles at 900 and it feels like it choking and backfires like crazy after i turn it off and let it sit for about 10 mins its fine again what could it be im thinking its the distributor or the fuel injectors. if any1 has any ideas of what it could be let me know what u think

Did it start doing this after u hit the rev limiter "under extreme stress" once or does it only do it after u hit the revlimiter?

Does the problem present itself after the car has warmed up? I would recommend you try a new distributor.

 

only under extreme stress like after i do a long burnout, or race the car. im thinking its the distributor also but the car runs perfectly fine all the time

 

maybe spark blow out ?
