grounds on 91 crx...??
I need to know where some ground wires are on my crx. the only 2 i know is the starter and the battery one on the tranny. My car stopped running it cranks and gets spark fine. no ecu codes, fuel pump works and flows through fuel rail i dont know if there is pressure or not cause i dont have a guage..but could this be ground? it cranks fine just doesnt fire..timing belt i think might have been to tight it had about 1/2 in play both ways but i thinks thats what its suppose to but it whines at high rpms...i was at a stop light and went to pull off and it just pop pop errrt nope dead....
Valve Cover (actually it goes to cylinder head, that bolt touches)
Alternator
Starter
Throttle Body
Thermostat Housing
Intake manifold
and I think there is one more, these are all the suggested grounding positions although Honda only shows three, the valve cover, starter and thermostat housing.
I couldn't tell you if the others really help but anything that has some sort of electricity around going through, sensors blah blah usually has some sort of ground.

like I said hondas only have three....however like the Apexi hyper ground and the circle earth and even that ebay crap use the ones i mentioned above...
your car will only come stock with three like I said but why not use the others as well...I tossed together my ground kit actually yesterday for $7.85 at the local electronics store with 8 gauge amp wire and connectors using those five points.
However the question comes into play, should each ground connect to it's own inivdidual point? or all come back to one grounding point? or sort of daisy-chain to eachother?
most aftermarket ground systems all come back to a single grounding point, and the non electrical guru that I am don't really understand that? but they make it that way for a reasonright?

Single ground point eliminates bad connections. In a daisy chain, if you have a bad connection near the beginning (battery), all the rest are no good.

It does sound more like a ground problem. Also check plug wires are connected in proper order. I had same problem after swap and fixed plug wires (not sure if correct when not starting or not ,... changed too many times to remember) and also ground to thermostat housing was not tightened. I had spark and fuel to rail (but not cylinder ..no fuel smell on plugs) and after checking ground and plug wires got the engine to fire. And that was with timing about 20 deg off.
You also mentioned something about timing belt. Did the car just stop running? Or is the non-start after you have done some work? Have you checked the timing belt?

nope been running fine for 8k miles no probs then just kinda died off...actually about a week ago my check engine light clicked on while i was driving but no problems happend or anything oil pressure fine no over heating i was good to go just shut the bitch off while i was rolling and dropped the clutch and was good to go...but yea i mean timing was fine its not the wires cause ive been driving on them for like 4k miles so thats good just studdered like a miss fire and bam no good then got bitched at while i was in the intersection....i havent tried the ground on the thermo i'll try that tomorrow..thanks tho i'll let u know
Are you still able to pull the CEL code???? Might give some clues.
Now it doesn't sound like a ground problem to me. That shouldn't cause it to just quit while running.
Any body else have an idea?

CEL?? i dont know what Cel is i tried a search but nothing saying exactly hat it is... im thinking of ecu code like number of blinks that go on the ecu...unless CEL has to do with a device u hook up to the car and it spits out numbers instead of blinking the light? fill me in on that real fast but i still cant figure this out...
CEL ... check engine light.
I noticed that you mentioned this came on. But then I also reread your 1st post and you say no ECU codes. Which ECU are you running?
Have you checked the grounds yet. Just don not think this would cause it to just quit, unless it fell / corroded right off.
