Hey guys, i'm new here just had a quick question?
I just bought my del sol about a month ago... and when i first got it , the car started making a noise when i started to accelerate it's either from the silencer? not the mufler in the back but somewhere on the pipe? or the cadilac converter?
is there another way of fixing this problem ? it happens usually in gear 2 and 4
when i accelerate and a slow rate

Check the heat shields around the catalytic converter.

 

what kind of noise? your question is to vague for anyone to give a good answer

 

i had a silencer in an apexi n1 style muffler a year ago, and the silencer would rattle at certain rpms....

 

i had the same problem, my silencer would rattle at low rpm... but ur situation was probably the same as another problem i had, the piping was banging into the heat sheild at certain rpm.. it created an annoying rattle through out the WHOLE car... really bad..
i got down under it and beat the heatsheild back with a hammer a couple times (all u really need)......never rattled agained

i think "rattle" was the word i was looking for.. it is a noise caused at low rmp..
i'll get under it 2morrow ... and hammer it...
