I'm sure George will chime in with his feedback, but looks like he's coming over here for a set of Mugens.

I would go with omni because the have a mono-tube strut vs. tein basics is a dual-tube strut. The omni power also have a 46mm piston one of the largest on the market

they have a larger piston diameter BECAUSE they are a monotube design, but that doesn't necessarily make it better.

Mike, always going big, huh? Some people can't afford Tein Flexes.

I never recommended the Tein basics so dont quote me on that. I said Tein as in the Flex. If you are going to spend the cash you might as well do it right.

As for the flex you can preload the suspension the lower you go unlike the basics.

I have the Tein SS-P's and they are really soft. You don't compress the spring to lower it though. Figured that out the hard way. I spent like 10 mins compressing the spring only to find it higher.

What is it you're doing w/your car that you want a suspension? I think the answer would help us help.

The Omnipower coilovers for both the DC5 and EP3 applications are undergoing a redesign, and it sounds like they are not going to be selling any of them for a little while.

A friend of mine has him on his GSR and he loves them. I would get omnipowers over the tein basic kit. As far as flex or super street, different story.

I believe the re-design has been completed already and is already on the market.

I really don't think so.

The manufacturer said yesterday that he was still working on the product and didn't want any shipped to his retailers.

If somebody has some DC5 / EP3 Omnipowers in stock, it's likely the original design.

If you can hang in there a couple of months, or until an announcement that they're done, I am sure you'll be able to get a very decent suspension for the EP3 and DC5 that is, in typical Omnipower fashion, a very good suspension for the money.
