I just use D3 on my turning. but on D4 my vtec kicks in at 3,100 rpms sometimes 2,500, but my car is just a lost cost..haha

first of all if your vtec kicks in at 3100 without you setting it like that, something is wrong. vtec should not kick in til 5000-5200 rpm. if you set vtec lower you will burn more fuel and oil faster. and it is true that vtec does burn oil faster once engaged. i have to refill bout a quart after about a month or two after oil changes. but it is so fun just to feel and hear it kick in so what the heck. and using d3 seems like it puts more stain on your car. i always use d4.
