that 6th gen driver's side mount SUCKS!!!!!!! it's filled with this liquid crap. mine isn't exactly filled with it anymore it happens to a lot of people.

i'm going to be replacing mine with the HCP one from http://www.jdmshit.com as soon as i get the money.

but if you're going to be making all that power, http://www.hasport.com

getting a higher rated rubber compund motor mount on your driver side probably will help you in eliminating some shaking while driving but if you come to a complete stop you will feel vibrations more.
do a search. i think you may be able to find other topics on this.

get the energy suspension motor mount kit, works very well in stiffening up the motor.

not really

the mount we are talking about here really sucks and needs to be replaced.

if he's planning on getting some 300 hp, hasport mounts are the only sensible option.

Sorry for hijacking but on the subject of mounts, wouldn't the energy suspension ones cause alot of vibrations also? I'm looking into a driverside replacement on my friend's car that only has an I/H/E combo. She's a daily driver and doesn't need to be shaking with the car from stiff mounts, she has subs for that.

I have the stock civic mount on the driver side. Holding up great to 300whp. Motor does not shake at all. I do have all 5 mounts(even though I have no ac) and energy bushings on three of the mounts( the two torque mounts and the rear mount).

just wait ....

you must not beat on your car that much then. a few dozen auto crosses, 1 track day, lots of fairly agressive street driving, and 4 passes down the strip caused my mount to **** the bed. stock D16 power too.

even if you think your motor doesn't shake it's still not as stiff as it could be.

call hasport and ask them about the 6th gen top drivers side mount ... they'll tell you what's up

it sucks. it's like they come broken from the factory.
