Any difference between '92 GS-R and '91 GS shift linkages?
I've been searching a few forums and haven't found an answer for my pondering question. Wasn't sure whether to post it here or in the tech forum, mods may move this to the correct forum if I'm in the wrong place.
My question is if the shift linkage from a 1992 Integra GS-R (B17A engine, short geared YS1 tranny) is different from a 1991 Integra GS (B18A engine, long geared YS1 tranny).
I have the 1991 GS. I'm getting a tranny from a 92 GS-R (short geared YS1) and was wondering if I need the shift linkage for my car? Or will the shift linkage that I have work? Also will I need the clutch cable from the GS-R, also? Or will mine work with it?
I do know I will need a new clutch kit for the GS-R tranny.
Any help would be appreciated. If I can just use my shift linkage and clutch cable, then I can save a few bucks.
Thanks in advance for the help.

So there is no weight, length, design, or dimensional difference?
Would there be any advantage over using the GS-R shift linkage and clutch cable?

Glad you know about needing a new clutch...I listened to the wrong person when I installed my tranny...set me back a bit. Shift linkage and cable are the same. You know you have the wrong clutch when you can't the the clutch arm up enough to get the cable onto it...******* clutches. Good luck bro!!!

using the gs shift linkage would be cheaper than the gsr shift linkage (on some places.. some has it the same price or close).. but other than that they are the same...

The chassis is a DA (1990-1993) Integra. I have a 1991 Integra GS.
The GS-R tranny I'll be getting is coming out of a 1992 Integra GS-R.
Thanks for all the replies and help guys!
Looks like I'll be able to save a couple bucks now and put that towards the new clutch.
