Help!! oil and smoke from turbo downpipe
help me please. I just installed a brandnew t3 turbo on my crx, at a shop. I'm still there now. Once we got everything situated we started the car and oil and smoke came flying out the downpipe from the turbo. The turbo is new, why would this be happening? please help!
Sorry, I can only post 5 times a day. I'm almost positive the seals are good, and we replaced the oil return just incase it was causing problems. But what we were wondering is if it would be possible for there to be to much oil getting pumped so fast into the turbo that the return can't get it all out quick enough. Could this be? And would regulating the oil feed flow help out if so? Thanks.
what size oil feed line are you using? i've been reading lately that if you use anything bigger then a -3AN it'll blow the oil seal due to the volume of oil flowing through.
Trending Topics
1) Make sure your oil return is large enough
2) Make sure the there is sufficient vertical slope for the gravity drain from the turbo to the fitting on your oil pan.
Assuming that your turbo oil seals survived, this should fix it.
