Default busted antenna on an ek

ok so from as far as i can tell my antena is still inside the a pillar but when i pull it out it twists way too easily, and i have to keep playing with it in order to get a tiny bit of reception, and once i let go it flops back down,, and loses the reception.

does this mean its wasted ?

if so what are my otpions , hopefully a cheap one, cuz im tired of playing all my cd's all the time.

Yup, and it's a pain to replace, I'd think twice about doing it myself from now on:

Non-motorized. No room for a motor in that location.

it only too me about 10 mins to replace the antenna, total it isn't that bad to do at all.
