main relay problem common? same as EG's ?
i know of the main relay losing a solder connection which loses power to your ecu and your car wont start shortly after you shut it off.
my 90 dx hatch just did that same thing. i kept turning the key and punching the main relay until the engine light clicked and the fuel pump came on.
is this a common problem on all hondas? i thought it was only on EG and some accord.

Yes the main relays on efs are sucky too, i just put one in mine not long ago.
You can fix the one in there but i just bought a new one.

in about 15min i got the main relay out, heated up all the solder joints and added a little solder, put it back together and now its perfect! hasnt done it since.
IMO you are a FOOL if you spend $50 for a new main relay.

The solder connections in general all need to be touched up. There are a few that were very poorly designed and are obvious. Redo them and all is good.
