I hate that f*cking sound!!!
Yo, Does anyone have a constant beep beep beep sound sound as if the door wasn't shut in their CRX or civic. this **** is pissing me off because i keep thinking it's my radar detector. What it is, is a plug from the wiring harness in the door that has some kind of affiliation with the seatbelt/door being closed. I've tried taping it together really tight but that won't solve the problem. I tried finding the fuse for "door alarm" or anything like that but, if there are any more fuse panels than the one under the steering column and the hood, or if you have specific info, let me know because this **** is making me hit the brakes for no reason(sounds like my radar detector). I hate it! thanks
1. if there are two wires behind that switch just attach them together.
2. if only 1 wire, just attach it to the body somewhere (ground it).
problem solved.

Are you sure its the door? or could it be the seatbelt sensor? My passenger seatbelt sensor must have a loose connection in it, because it always goes off at random times while I'm driving, but I'm just too lazy to fix it.

on my first CRX Si it was malfunctioning and it wouldn't shut off no matter what... not to mention it would start up by itself and then disappear randomly.

mine goes off whenever i hit a good bump. I look at the seat belt lights on the panel where the rear view mirror is and everything checks out. The little door light on the cluster doesnt go on either. had me stumped. Also too lazy to screw with it.

Chances are, when you hit a bump and the connection gets jiggled, it might think that the seatbelt is buckled for a split second, then in effect the seatbelt came unbuckled. That is when you get that beautiful chime. I've actually caught the seatbelt light off when nobody was over there, but it's usually just so quick that by the time I hear the beep and look up, it's already back on.

when my car was doing this, I tore the whole ****** car apart looking for the damn buzzer. Under dash fusebox and all wires . It was freakin driving my crazy.
Oh, you try commuting 4 hours a day (2 one way and 2 back) with the damn thing ringing non-stop !
Mystereo wasn't as loud then as it is now.

if it's the seat belt, there's a plug under the seat for the sensor, just unplug that. It's easier to find if you remove the seat. If you don't feel like taking out 4 bolts it's easier to get to from the back w/ the seat moved all the way forward
you had that beeping problem on your si? mine's not the seatbelt, it's with the door. when i took the doorpanel off, there's one of those plugs that has some connection to something in the seatbelt roll housing that clicks/turns the beeper off.
the beeper sounds like it's coming from somwhere near/behind the radio. It's pissing me off. Is it only on the si's that it is near the rvm? mine's a dx

I had the same problem for six months.
It beeped all day long get used to it if you cant fix it
it was my door **** that detects if the door is open or closed.

I just had this happen to me but it was coming from my console. You know when you leave the key in there and it beeps. Well it was doing it after an emergency brake slide I did to avoid a possom. Its starting to **** me off becuase I turn the wipers on and it goes BEEP BEEP BEEP.
