4wheel-drive ek civic.IMPOSSIBLE OR POSSIBLE
I WANT TO PUT A B16A LUMP IN MY CIVIC.I WANT BIG POWER, BUT I WONDERING IF I COULD GO FROM A FRONT WHEEL DRIVE TO 4X4 WHEEL DRIVE.IF ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT DOING THIS OR HAS SEEN IT DONE COULD YOU EMAIL ME AT therubberduckype01@yahoo.co.uk.thanks
It's been done. They even had AWD Integras and Civic's overseas. You could modify a CRV drivetrain to work with enough time and money invested as well.
Is it worth it? No. Are you going to make enough power with that B16 to warrant AWD? Most likely not.

Yeah its not worth it. The CRV will work but I dont think the suspension and drivetrain fits on a civic. A lot of customization and fabrication. Also look at CRV rear axles.they are puny. they are not made for lots of torque, i dont think. but hey if you got enough money to spend then go ahead. Prolly be almost as expensive as a WRX haha

yea I was thinkin the same thing as well but their trans are for sohc motors I was thinkin you mabe could use the civic wagon drive axels and diff and a crv trans but who knows if the drive shaft would go in and work with the trans Ive seen a integra with a similar set up and he took the front drive axels out and was drifting it I think it was in a mag as well
the ***** with your caps you capslock *****.. anyways. i seriously dont think its worth the money unless your gonna be on honda tuning or something like that lol jk.. its up to you, sure its been done before, but ask yourself.. do you really want it that bad?? lol *shrug*
Ive seen people cut 1.8s before with FWD and street tires - so AWD really isnt needed.

not really.. he was using drag radials. awd DSM's can pull 1.6's on real summer road tires.
speaking of DSMs, anyone have a link to the civic with a full AWD DSM drivetrain??

Drag radials are street tires yo! They are DOT approved. And your right DSMs can pull 1.6s...but who cares swap on a set of slicks and pull 1.5s.

If you are going to do the swap you need to use some other rear end with the same gearing...bigger alxels.....custom rear hubs....300zx rear end might work....i was thinking about it just to say i did it... some one needs to do it....might as well be you...
