HELP: Issues wiht NON-CHIPPED P28 w/ harness installed into 00 Civic Si

I installed this into my Si. I am gonna chip it later this week.

Can I run this for now, just so I have a car, or do I have to have it chipped.

When I start the car, I have to hodl the gas down for the sucker to run. If I let off the gas it dies. I have searched all over with no help.

Any experts please reply ASAP. Thanks

Try adjusting your idle screw on the throttle body.

If the evap purge solenoid is still hooked up it can cause the car to do that. Try unplugging the evap purge solenoid. If memory serves me correctly it is located near the fuel rail on the '99-'00 Civic Si.

I did a write up explaining the details. Anybody have article handy? George Knighton?
