You're a dumbass.
I've heard the b16 tranny on the LS motor will lose about 2-3 tenths in the 1/4 mile. Of course this is a pretty general statement.
I have a b16 tranny on my built LS and I love it. Awesome accleration at any RPM, 5th gear pulls like crazy (at the expense of reduced top speed, gas mileage).

i have a b16 trannie on my ls, pulls hard till 4th gear then just stops making power. CAr feels alot faster but up top its the same, ur first 3 gears will fly by, then 4th and 5th u really wont go any were, less u have some cams.

interesting. are you sure you have a b16 tranny, and not, like, an ls still?
i'm swapping my ls tranny to a b16 on my lsvtec this week. i'll let you know.

hey what if you have a B16 and but a ls tranny? would lose power when reving high and shifting to the next gear? if u kno what i mean?
b/c i have a B16 but it didnt come with the tranny so i have to stick with my ls one. didnt swap yet so do you think i should wait to get the b16 tranny?

B16 trannies are great for N/A LS motors. great acceleration and the shorter gears allow the LS motor to use it's torque at full potential. down sides are of course higher revving to maintain certain speeds and always having to end the 1320 in 5th gear due to stock LS's rev limit at 6800-7200.
i personally prefer the GSR tranny but that's just me.
