It would have cost me about 600 if i didnt borrow some stuff. Heres what i needed:

DC header: 200 (i bought it)
AEM CAI for GSR: 150 (borrowed)
USDM ECU: 250 on H-T (borrowed)
Misc hoses and such: 50-100 (bought)

2 tries, then you have to repay again.

you'll need 3 sensors hooked up for the usdm ecu to work

vtec oil pressure switch
cfk sensor
2nd o2 sensor

depending on what ref you goto, depends how much you will need to pass. don't goto the one in alhambra - i hear he's an ***. they could tell you that you will need:

usdm itr exhaust manifold (if yours is 98+ spec)

eh, there's a bunch of threads on this topic.

Yes you keep paying after you fail 2 times

Your car is legal and you smog every other year like normal. You dont have to pay the 600 for parts, you could look around H-T to borrow parts like i ddi.

Also what year motor into what year car? It would help us help you better.

if you're obd1, all you need to have is all stock equipment (intake, header), usdm ecu, and add a nipple on your stock i/m to attach the purge solenoid valve (you can youe your stock d-series one).

aside from the ecu, it should cost you $20 to buy a fitting and drill/tap your intake manifold.
