Default cams raising compression???

Im thinkin of installing a cam, preferably a stg 2 cam with the upgraded valvespring and retainers..............this is in a d16y8............will this raise compression or should i just go with new pistons???? also, who would also make a thinner headgasket for the d-series???

hah cams have nothing to do with compression... as for headgaskets i dont know, but the only way to up compression is to get new pistons or a new head...
