Acura makes a generic one that fits the R.

Go aftermarket. Much more durable and better fit than the OEM one which is not designed to fit over R with rear spoiler.

Incorrect. I have an OEM one that fit's the R correctly with the wing and front lip.

Kinda looks like Swiss cheese now since a happy family of squirrels got at it but it was free and did it's duty for awhile.

Source of my information was Len--that crazy f00l over at Baranco--

Cats like to mark their territory on my car cover. 2x worse than squirrels getting to it.

i got one from covercraft. i got the ultraguard model from a website called http://www.autoanything.com it was 200 and free shipping. i also got the cable and the storage bag. it came out to like 250. its a very very good cover. it will satisfy all your weather protection needs. they have one made especially for the type R. there is a pouch where the wing is and its longer in the front to cover the front lip. the fit is excelent, its like a glove for the car. it doesnt sag or hangs or looks lke its going to fly off. i highly recomend COVERCRAFT.

Whether I went with OEM or aftermarket would depend on if the car is going to be outside or not. If so, its important to get a very good cover that can breath and repel water. The one I just got for the stang is 4 layers and cost just over $200.

Werd. OEM fits fine. Comes with a pimpy little cable and lock, too. I have pictures (somewhere) of the cover in place on my old Hypeness, I'll see if I can find them.

Definitely worth it to me! If I decide to buy an aftermarket cover, what am I looking out for? Aren't some aftermarket covers not good for the paint?
