Default complete newbie here

Hey, Im a complete and total newb to cars and I want to do some some basic improvements to my car to help me learn. I figure the best way to find out what to do, before I do anything stupid/waste any money is to ask in a technical forum since I can't seem to get past the technical jargon.

I have a 2000 Honda Acord LX V6. I would like to maybe fix it up a bit, and am wondering what some of the best improvements would be. Keep in mind that I'm not automotive genious so maybe some of the easier ones would help me learn and not **** up my car.

Willing to listen to suggestions on what to read/learn before I try anything. Thanks for your time.

Well, why dont you start out what type of improvement you would like made. "Fixing up" mean different things to different people. Do you want show, speed, handling, etc...
