Default Should i buy S2K

Hey i presently own a 97 prelude and im between boosting it and buying a S2k. Im almost done with the turbo kit, but i came across a good condition S2k, but ( a very big but ) the car has like 90k miles on it. I dunno what i should do, i know thats alot of miles but its a S2k. How do those engines hold up after time. If so what can i do to make sure its not burnt ( Anyone have compression ### ) Thanx for help...

ummm. i would say buy the s.. .but the 90k miles makes me cringe and run away from it... but then again you didn't mention how much they are selling the car for... ??and as for the engines.. they hold up very well as long as they are well maintained... i know a couple of people that have around 70k miles on it.. and it's still running strong... one of my buddies drives it 60 - 70 miles a day just to get to work... and another 60 - 70 miles to get back home.... and he's spraying in that car and it's still running strong...

The S is a great car but honestly 90k on a stock engine is alot of miles. If the person was easy on the car the engine may have alot of life left but if they were hard on the car at all... Well then it just maybe a matter of time.

its a 2001 for like 13k... you think compression test might show if it was abused?

but yeah.. go do some tests on it... take it for a test drive... see how it feels... and go get some real heavy duty tests on it.... leak test, compression test.. and so on...see if he/she has maintance records and such. .and if eveything turns out good.. go for it.....

90k is nothing for a Honda. High mileage in a S2000 usually means freeway/cruise miles. Get to know the owner well and you can get a good idea of how well he/she treats his/her car.
