Default possible to remove passenger airbag

Is it possible to remove the passenger side airbag and leaving the cover there? or the airbag is in conjunction with the cover? (like the driver side).

thanks,

All one component, but you can disconnect the wiring under the dash ( yellow

plug I believe ) and take out the warning lamp bulb from the inst cluster...

Works out to the same thing.

I bought a dash from a 98 teg and it had no passenger bag. The cover was still on, so I'm assuming you can do that no problem.

The dash cover can be removed from the airbag casing and put back into the dash.

I don't have a passenger as it's a race car.

In Europe, R has no airbag...
Neither passenger nor driver...

For those interested, if the passenger airbag is removed, the SRS module won't allow the driver's side airbag to deploy.

Just a tid bit of info...

I removed both.
