Default major issues need help immediately

ok i just burned 2 quarts of oil in the last 500 miles. I just took out my plugs, they are:

a. black.
b. oil as ****.... on the thread to the electrode... not above.

it's not spark plug o rings because i just replaced mine and even if that was it it wouldnt get on the electrode.

please please help... i just rebuilt my engine... i dont know what this is!

compression test gave me good numbers across the board! Anyway to tell if its valve seals from this? anyone? please?

sounds like too much oil for valve seals.
I would guess that its the rings.

Did you hone the block when rebuilding?
Did you position the rings properly?

the rings were gapped correctly and the rings were positioned correctly as well. everything was to spec and the block was properly honed. Is it possible that the valve seals were installed on the wrong side? I heard that the intake/exhaust sides use different valve seals.

Its possible, but thats just really a temperature related issue.
granted bad things can happen from that as well like valves getting stuck open.

Did you assemble the motor? or did someone else?

it sounds like the rings to me, what were your compression numbers? did you do a leak down?

i really doubt its the rings. i did perfect on a compression test. a leakdown wont tell me anything about the rings. i intend to do a leakdown next week.

So it may not be a problem with the compression rings, but the oil control
rings may have a problem.
