Default how to tell the difference from jdm b18c1 and b18c5

i know u guys might think this is a repost but i'm been searching everything i can't find it.

i'm trying to find if there is a different between the JDM b18c5 and the JDM b18c1 blocks, i have a car with a jdm B18C, it might have a type r manifold but is there any other way to tell from the block?

i have a pic of it but not the block just the top of it so if u wanna check out the throttle cable location if that means anythign because i herd it's different?

Blocks are identical, besides the stamp.

Your search for b18c5 differences returned 14 results.

On the head of a type r right behind the dist. there is a stamp that say P30, cause the type r head is a port and polished b16a head.

Some JDM GSR (SIR-G or whatever it's called) also had LSD as well...so that stamping might not dictate what engine it is.

Without pulling it apart, I'd check the head stamping (P72 = GSR) and intake manifold.

you might be able to tell by the oil cooler. now that I think about, other JDM motors may have the oil cooler also.

A JDM B18C GSR motor will have P72 stamped on the head. A JDM ITR motor will have P30-1 stamped on the head. If its a JDM GSR motor, an ITR inlet manifold will not bolt to it, and i'm sure you know what a GSR I/M looks like!

Dude, you're a moron. VTEC crack hard?!?! ***** B16?!?!? If anything, the VTAAAK on a gsr motor is fairly noticable because of the gay *** manifold it comes with. The B16 screams because it comes with a similar ITR manifold. I think you already recieved enough info. to learn how to tell the difference. You should go check the motor, and just let it be, and stop making yourself look like a complete dumbass.

i bought a jdm itr motor from steve at HMO and he said you can tell if its jdm if is say b18c21xxxxx for a 98+ and b18c16xxxxx for a 96-97 jdm itr. so if its not one of those, its not a gsr. hope that helps
