Default whats better a 98 gsr ecu or a 2000 type r ecu

i have a 98 gsr whith the basic mods and a friend of mine gave me a 2000 type r ecu he works at acura. but anyways is it me or am i full of it does a type r vtec switch over like the gsr at 4400 or is it differnt because i just put it in and i cannot hear it like the gsr at 4400 it sounds like at 6000 grand or is it just me, but anyways will the ecu make a difference or no

keep your ecu and sell that R one and get a harness to convert to OBD-I
