So what exactly is wrong with my prelude?
Ok, now this is something I've never experienced..
Alright, here it goes, I was driving and about midway through my drive (a 20 minute drive about) I notice the entire digital dashboard in my 4th gen start flickering and going "haywire." Concerned, I start to slow down and look for a spot to pullover, but then it returns to normal?
Maybe a 1/2 hour later or so, I am about to start my car up again, and it cranks, connects, but then immediately turns off?
Now I can't even put it into battery mode, or whatever you call it when the radio and power windows, sunroof, ect are useable while the car is off.
I do have gas, its not like im running on empty, also the battery is basically brand new and I'm almost sure that its not the problem, because I can't even put it into neutral without releasing the shift lock.
Btw...it makes this kind of weird hissing noise before i turn it on, sounds like a fuel pump maybe, but i'm not sure.
Anybody ever experienced this? Because this is a new one to me :/

if the accessory power doesn't even work then its not going to be a mechanical problem, something is wrong in your electrical department. Check all of the fuses, wires, etc. The alternator has nothing to do with starting the car so that's not the problem, and it's not the starter/spark plugs if the accessory power doesn't even work.
Could be your ECU.....sounds like a master electrical problem if all of it is going haywire. Check under your driver side by the fuse box for all the wires to make sure they're all connected and nothing is disconnected/broken.

looked at it today..it might be the alarm going insane? The alarm is constantly on and won't turn off...even though its been off for several months, I might have just triggered it on within the past week or maybe today by accident while I was messing around with everything.
Tomorrow I'll update.
