Prelude taking a while to turn over
My 98 prelude is taking a while to turn over. It does start everytime, it just takes longer than normal to actually start. Any suggestions? All the services and tune-ups are up to date. I did do a search and found tons of posts for preludes that won't start.. but not much in terms of the turn over.

Probably a battery issue. My did the same at first until the battery completly died. Put in a new one in, first time i touch the key it started like its in a hurry or something. Test the voltage on that beast.

Mine would take 5-6 turns every now and then, and then I found and fixed a small fuel leak (a line wasn't tightened all the way down), and now no problems.

Could also be your fuel pump is just old. Put it in the second click of the key, and wait like 10 secs for fuel to run through the lines. Then start your car. If it starts off smoothly like nothing then its the fuel pump, and its just getting old. Thats all. If it isnt this then it might be what the other members have suggested. Hope i helped some what.

simple check is to see if your battery terminals are clean. Pull them off though because sometimes they can look okay but have corrosion where you can't see.
