gears behind headlights?
Hello everyone, this is my first post here.
I have a 98 Prelude, and I was looking around under the hood today and noticed some small, gray gears behind each headlight. They don't turn by hand, at least with moderate force.
Does anyone know what they do? I have a feeling they might be to acttivate the high-beam lights because there isn't a second bulb for those. Just curious.
Also my car came used and with no manual, so I am figuring out things as I go.

Thanks!

there should also be a little Green liquid bubble level on the headlight, its all for headlight adjustment and bulb angle etc..
Wait till it gets dark outside, pull up infront of a closed garage, then start messin with it and see where the light goes. tons of fun, i aimed mine up a bit so i can actually see infront of me, not just 5 feet of the ground.

Thanks for the replys everyone. I'll play around with it a bit tonight becuase I've noticed my passenger-side headlight looks considerably brighter to oncoming traffic. Maybe I can lower it a bit to make them even.
That just adjust the top half of the headlight, then if you look a little lower, you'll see another one where you can use a 10mm socket, and it'll adjust the lower part of the headlight
they are head light adjustor screws if its what i think your talking about i woudlnt mess around with them lol u can cause more of a headache then you think..
and its a backwords torx screw driver you need lol...
but if one seems brighter then the other may be cuz its about to burn out and not cuz its miss alighned.
best way to test is ..
find a wall (flat wall in a dark area)
drive really close dont hit it
then see if they are leveled
slowly start to reverse and see if one points alot higher then the other
and then find the point where its very noticeable and adjust the screw by turning clockwise or counter whichever make it go the way you want..
but make sure your not tooo far from the wall
or you can go pay like 40$ or something and get a pro to do it properly
