Difference between canadian crx and usdm crx
is there any ifference between canadian crx and usdm crx, if so, what are they?
i have a 91 crx si and apparently the 91's are supposed to have the seatbelts on the doors, however, mine does not, could this be because its canadian?

you search and you'll find the answers. there were posts with complete comparison, etc
USDM and CDM 91 Si have same seat belt assembly ("on the door")
The only differences I remember are
the front lip,
black rear-view mirrors and door handles

That is wrong. All CDM crx's had pillar mounted seatbelts. They also had daytime running lights. Also the seats are mounted lower. I also believe that the SI models had color matche dmirrors but I could be wrong on that.

all canadian civic/CRXs had door mounted seat belts, 90-91 had day time running lights, in 91 there was the option for the CRX Special Edidition Si, which was a regular Si, but silver, cd player, JDM leather steering wheel, power locks, power windows, JDM SiR style spoiler, there were only 250 of these sold however (1 per dealer, from what I hear,), also, canada never got the HF......thats all I can think of...

I don't know about the CRX's but the Hatch's in CDM were pillar mounted seat belts.
The door mounted seat belt was honda's way of complying to the US's "passive seat belt" system. Most companies had those mechanical ones installed. Honda put the seatbelts in the door.
The point of the seatbelt in the door is *supposed* to be that you should never unclick your seatbelt. You should slide in and out of the car with the seatbelt in the clip. That's why the door mounted seat-belt civic's have those red signs on the e-brake that calls the button on the seat belt clip an "Emergency Release." While most people use it like a normal seatbelt because it's pretty useless to try and slide in and out with it clipped in.
Long story short, Civic's and CRX's of the same years and models in CDM may be pillar mounted rather than door mounted because honda changed to comply with US law. Although I don't know exactly what does and what doesn't my friend's CDM 91 STD has pillar mounted belts... while I'm almost positive ALL USDM 90-91 STD civics had door mounted.
And I think only the good models came with the daytime running lights, like an option. His 91 STD doesn't have that. In fact, the seatbelt thing is the only difference on it.

The side mirrors and door handles were painted on the 90-91 Si models in Canada, the dx models were not.

When I was disassembling my interior, I remember seeing the Canadian's got Pillar mounted Seatbelts (Lucky Ducks). So, I have my repair manual here in my lap:
And yup, Canadians have Pillar Mounted Seat Belts.

man, many of confusion in here...
ready, no canadian crx had door mounted seatbelts. no one in the world other than the US had this.
90+ crx had DRL, its is a requirement in canada that any car 90+ have it.
the Special Edition, was limited to 250 like stated, came in vogue silver and power windows were an option and not standard.
90+ Si had painted mirrors and handles.
canada never got a front lip or the HF model.

But thanks for all the replies, I seriously thought that either my crx was a converted 89 or had some mad seatbelt modifications done to it
Now I know she's alll natural, hahah
