spent days and nights working on mandy. tony garcia and i busting our ***** to get last minute parts and **** we need for this oct. 23rd or 24th NHRA event. beautiful weekend and event by the way. NHRA
first time out on the track w/ mandy since fontana and i was more than exceptionally happy with the results...with a few new additions (ie; 2 step, shift light, wheelie bars) to the car since the last it definitely helped out a lot. in reference to this post i made a few months back... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=950768 and yes, i'm still running 24.5's
damn, i need $$
saturday:>first pass of qualifying vs. tony garcia was horrible. car wouldn't go past 3k rpm's...and limped through the traps at 34 seconds or soemthing like that...lol anyways, problem fixed. second qualifying pass and i was up against the big cheese marty ladwig...warmed up the slicks decent and got out of the hole well hit 10.6@141mph misshifting 3rd. hittin the 10's got me feening for more. thrid qualifying run, now against the big dawg, gary gardella. got out of the hole ahead even thought i didn't have a chance
, but shifting into second and 3 third the damn thing wouldn't go into gear. managed a poor 13 sec pass.
not sure if its the tranny, pressure plate, or short shifter...anyways, both passes had a 1.5 60 foot and awsome reaction time ( see golden eagle peeps... when it comes to racing i don't sleep...only in traffic ; )
sunday:>no practice runs, no nothing, jus str8 competition. praying that i don't have any tranny problems in the first round of eliminations...i drew gary gardella...damn hehe not again. anyways, lit up the slicks pretty well. bogged out of the hole and 10.6@ 147mph. and gary? 8.45@171mph i told gary," go easy on me." before the race and man if 8.4 is going easy...i wonder how it would be if i was on his **** list
...lol
