engine swap
just put a 1991 acura ls 1.8L engine in my 1998 honda civic. could you please tell me what computer i need to run this sun of a bitch. the 98 has a trigger on the crank, and the acura engine does not.
but how did you get past the trigger on the crank? i have everything else hooked up, but it will not spark unless i plug the trigger back in and use a speaker magnet over the sensor when i turn the engine over.
one more thing. i can not find antone that makes a adapter harness that goes from obd2 to obd0 so i can use the older acura computer. if anyone could help me find a diagram for this conversion i would be very thankfull......
I would suggest getting an OBD1 dist and OBD1 LS ECU, and get the OBD2 to OBD1 harness adaptor. I don't know of anyone that makes the OBD2 to OBD0 adaptor either, so this would most likely be the easiest way.

He's probably using a '98 OBD-2, one-piece harness, so I think he should use an OBD-2 Integra B18B distributor instead of an OBD-1 B18B distributor.
The CKF sensor is not using for the engine timing for the sequential fuel injection and ignition timing. It's there as an emissions monitor.

CKF sensor is the 13 tooth hall effect sensor on the oil pump.
The CYP and CKP sensors (and TDC on occasion) in the distributor do all the monitoring for the sequential injection and ignition timing.

You got me. I was always under the impression that it was only used for monitoring crankshaft speed, not for any sort of timing.
The year of distributor you need depends on what harness you used.
Use an OBD-1 '94 to '95 LS MT ECU with a conversion harness.
blown90hatch or boomslang have the harness converters, or you can get them from wiredspeed.com too.
