Holy sh*t! My H&R sports dropped my car 2.5 inches! help!
I installed a set of used H&R sports off e-bay on my 96 LS sedan. It looks really nice but i couldn't even drive around the block without dragging on the road. Its a real pain in the butt. I tried 3 places that were around me and they all turned me away b/c my car was too low they didn't want to allign it.
Why is it so low?. . . prviously cut? over used? my cars too heavy?
What should i do now? I have school tomorrow and i don't wanna eat up my tires. . .no allignment and no camber.
Do you think I can last a week making a 15 mile commute (home to schol) a day?
I'm kinda worried. Your help would be greatly be appricated. thanks.

you sure you didn't get H&R race springs? what color are the springs? were they new or used?
i had H&R sport springs....they do suck pretty bad but it shouldn't be dragging the car on the ground.

i'd suggest you go back to stock, and then get some tokico illumnas. they have a combo shock/springs that will drop you 1.5 inches. i wish i was dropped a little more. but i hear that needs a camber kit. so its chill.

i dont think itll be a problem for you commuting that little. it's not like your car is gonna explode because your alignment and camber are off. just drive how you're supposed to drive a dropped car until the end of the week or whatever. ie: avoid any imperfections in the road, stay on the smoothest road possible. go the most sideways you can up a driveway, yes, this includes your schools... goodluck!

The same thing happened to me. I went through a set of tires in a little over a month from those damn springs. Put it back to stock and sell them. Get Omnipowers, they are decent for the money.

You'll be fine. I was dumb and didnt get an alignment for over a year after I installed mu H&R sports with KYB AGX (all new parts) yet I didn't experience any bad wear on my tires until the last month I had those tires. To this day, I still have no camber kit and my tires wear evenly until all the tread is low.

weird, my h&r sports are black? It shouldn't drop your car that much, i guess you and Patrick both got the defective springs? lol.
^ LOL.
The springs are pretty soft, but I just find it weird that I very rarely see people have so much trouble with them as Patrick did. Mine did end up lowering my car about 2.25 - 2.5" Right now, I'm on 16x7 wheels with 205/45/16 tires and don't rub at all. And only scrape my ITR lip when I'm careless
EDIT: Also, my local Discount Tires had no problem aligning my car. ($120 for lifetime alignment, and they will adjust camber kits if you have them)
